I am the technical assistant at our Department and run the genetic laboratory, and also work as a lecturer.

I am broadly interested in evolution – and in here in particular when and why in some animal groups enormous radiations took place. In doing the lab analyses, and together with colleagues applying molecular methods, we investigated phylogenies in butterflies, moths, dragonflies and weevils.

Furthermore I am still fascinated in what maintains species integrity although ongoing hybridization. These question I study on gomphocerine grasshoppers.
