My main research focus is to understand the social and spatial ecology of endangered animals and translate the results into applied conservation actions. My current project focuses on bats of the Western Indian Ocean, where I study the spatiotemporal ecology of Livingstone’s flying foxes, Pteropus livingstonii, in collaboration with local and international stakeholders. 

In my free time, when I’m not out looking for owls or bats, I’m creating art.
